Album review: Lover
Considered by many as the “barbie girl” of the music industry, Taylor Swift is the sum of all characteristics established as desirable by magazines. However, behind this standardized perfection mask, there is much more than a posh girl. Through her last album entitled “Lover”, Swift has one more time shown her sensitivity and a very poetical way of perceiving the world. Shifting between slow and sentimental to extremely lively songs, the young composer gives life to a more mature version of herself and guides us to dive into her reflections about life experiences. The album brings together eighteen songs, not all of them are so appealing as the ones that will be analyzed in the following paragraphs, but each has its own value. When talking about this album, it is impossible to deny that “Soon You’ll Get Better” is one of the most out of the curve songs ever written by Taylor Swift.
